THE UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY OF MASUKU (USTM).
The USTM, the first university of science in Gabon, comprises three major establishments: the Faculty of Science, the Polytechnic School and the National Higher Institute of Agronomy and Biotechnology. One of the current challenges of our university is the improvement of our university pedagogy. This project will promote effective student involvement by putting them in a situation of interaction and interactivity. It will enable us to move from passive teaching to more active method in which students will be the main actor. This project will provide practical training in the scientific exploitation of field observations and measurements.
The National Higher Institute of Agronomy and Biotechnologies offers training in phytotechnology, zootechnology and biotechnology. Numerous partnerships with universities in Benin, Cameroon, France and Belgium exist and deserve to be intensified. As part of this project, we propose to provide our expertise in environmental protection in general through the implementation of sustainable agricultural waste management technique. Partners will be welcomed on the university site depending on the means and resources available. The experiences acquired in their respective universities will be an asset for our students and colleagues. Finally, to guarantee multidisciplinary of the training, each participant will bring their expertise in their specialty and their themes. In addition to the teacher-researchers directly involved, this project will count on the specific involvement of several teacher-researchers from the University of Sciences and technology of Masuku.
